General Description: Canidate will be resposible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of all base building and critical system machinery and equipment.
Principal Duties and Reponsibilities: Checks malfunctioning equipment and ascertains corrective action required to restore to satisfactory operating condition. Specific duties include, but not limited to: demonstating the proper use and care of tools and instruments, job safety, and troubleshooting procedures. Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, useage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintains a clean and safe workplace.
Position Specifications:
Education - Minimum of a high school diploma. Two years of trades schooling in electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC.
Experience - 2+ years of experience in facility/plant engineering maintenance.
Special Skills - Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechaincal systems, welding, and electrical systems engineering and operation.
Personal characteristics - good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
Must be proficient in basic computer application software such as MS Office, and E-mail, etc.
